The irate mob was pacified after Kotwali police station SHO Sree Ram Chaudhary rushed there with force.
The incident happened after Soni Kumari, 16, daughter of one Subhash Chaudhary, resident of Mai Dariapur under Muffasil police station was brought to the clinic of Dr Deepak Kumar, after she complained of severe abdominal pain on Thursday noon. She was rushed to a nursing home on Dr Deepak’s advise where she had to undergo several tests including ultrasound etc. But as her condition worsened, the parents of the girl requested the doctor to refer her to some other centre for treatment. But they were assured by the doctor that there was no need for any anxiety.

The patient was later shifted to the ICU and after 5pm, some staff of the hospital informed Soni’s parents that her condition was critical and she needs to be taken to Patna.
When Soni’s parents rushed to see her in the ICU, they found her dead. The parents alleged that their daughter died due to gross negligence of the doctor and the staff of the nursing home.
SP Ashish Bharti said two FIRs have been lodged in this connection from both sides, i.e. the hospital management and the parent of the deceased girl.
